About
Us
The
C.H.I.L.D. Organization is all about helping Children Having
Individual Learning Differences - which is the premise for
C.H.I.L.D.
The
C.H.I.L.D. Organization - Scotch Plains Fanwood Chapter is
an all volunteer, nonprofit organization, which dedicates itself to providing
resources and supports to children and their families where there is a
learning difference or challenge.
Our executive
officers, also volunteers, provide rich and various
backgrounds that continually benefit C.H.I.L.D. and the children
and families they help. Click for our officer
listing.
All
of what C.H.I.L.D. accomplishes is due greatly to the help of all
our volunteers. At times, more help is needed because there
is only so much one group can do. Anyone can help and should
please contact Jules Shapiro at 908.322.4020.
C.H.I.L.D. works in cooperation with,
but is not limited to, School Districts and their Departments, Parent and
Teacher Associations, Resolve and the Municipal Alliance Committee.
The
C.H.I.L.D. Chapter of Scotch Plains Fanwood have planned programs for parents,
caregivers, teachers and professionals for this school year. Program
workshops are open to all. Workshops are designed to also provide
Professional Development Hours for Continuing Education Units
(CEU's) for member professionals and
teachers.
Other
community and scholastic events for this year will include The
Recycling Fundraiser, Coffee and Tea with Mr. "B",
Annual Student Programs for
Transition, participation in Local Community Functions
and Student Tributes and Awards. If you are interested in
helping at any of these events, or serving on any C.H.I.L.D. Committees,
please send email to, I want to help.
You can also call for more information or if you have any questions at 908.322.4020.
